Tudor honored world-renowned soccer star and watch enthusiast David Beckham on Thursday night in the apropos Clocktower at The Edition Hotel in New York, celebrating his role as brand ambassador for the venerable timepiece makers.
"Daring individuals have long chosen Tudor while achieving the extraordinary in life, and Mr. Beckham is no exception," the company said in a statement. "A long-time wristwatch lover, Beckham came to know Tudor through its sibling brand, Rolex, of which he owns several timepieces."

Beckham stars in Tudor's 'Born to Dare' campaign, which premiered at Baselworld 2017, wearing the Black Bay Steel & Gold timepiece — a vintage-inspired diver's watch — along with the Black Bay Chrono, a COSC-certified chronograph drawing upon Tudor's motorsports heritage.

He could be seen at Thursday night's cocktail party sporting the Black Bay Chrono, Reference 79350. Russell Kelly, Head of Tudor Watch USA, toasted Beckham at the lavish affair, no doubt aware how fine Beckham's Black Bay Chrono would appear on a wrist that was toasting right back.
“Especially as an Englishman I think you really appreciate a nice suit and a nice watch," said Beckham of the partnership. " They go very well together. I was attracted to Tudor by the attention to detail I could see in their watches. I then learned about the history of the brand. One of adventure, pioneer diving and daring expeditions. I was instantly hooked”.
